Summer Program Overview

Team-based AI project building experience

Each session blends conceptual learning with hands-on Python coding exercises—no prior coding experience required for non-advanced level programs. Students will engage with No-Code and Low-Code Machine Learning (ML) workflow platforms, making AI accessible to all skill levels.

AI & ML Fundamentals

We combine traditional learning and hands-on coding with LCNC cloud based AI platforms to provide a comprehensive introduction to AI and Machine Learning. Students will explore key AI concepts, including the differences between Narrow and General AI, real-world applications, and ethical considerations.

Python & Data Analytics

Forget the myth that AI is only for computer scientists. Our Python coding and Data Analytics online program is an interactive AI & Python programming bootcamp focusing on Python, data analytics, and data storytelling through hands-on projects.

Advanced ML

For students who have prior experience in programming, our advanced ML and AI program, will focus on advanced concepts such as Object Detection, Generative Language Models (applied in creating digital characters, including anime figures), and sophisticated Neural Networks.

Dr. Jyothi Vinjumur

Dr. Vinjumur is a Lecturer at the University of Texas, Austin and has many years of industry experience in AI, ML, Data Science and analytics. She has a PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park with specialization in Machine Learning.

Dr. Vangelis Metsis

Dr. Metsis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University and the Director of the Intelligent Multimodal Computing and Sensing (IMICS) Lab.

Our Story

9to12 AI was founded by Dr. Jyothi Vinjumur and Dr. Vangelis Metsis in 2024. Their greatest passion lies in education—particularly in empowering high school students with the knowledge and skills to understand, use, and innovate with AI responsibly. They strongly believe that today’s students will shape the future of AI, and it is essential that they learn not just how AI works, but also how to use it ethically, fairly, and safely. Through their work in Applied Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Intelligent Automation, they are committed to bringing real-world experience into the classroom, making complex AI concepts engaging and approachable. Their teaching philosophy centers on strong conceptual foundations, hands-on learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications, ensuring that students go beyond theory to build and experiment with AI tools. Whether it’s building AI applications, understanding deep learning, or exploring AI’s role in society, our goal in 9to12AI is to equip young minds with the tools to navigate an AI-powered future—ethically, responsibly, and with relevance & confidence.
